Operator: Pacer.Ad. Contact: contact@pacer.ad.

Pacer ("Pacer", "we", "us") is a budget pacing tool for paid media agencies. This policy explains what data Pacer accesses from connected advertising accounts, why, how it is stored and protected, and the choices you have. Pacer is an internal operations tool used by an agency to manage its own clients' advertising budgets. It is not a consumer product and it does not serve ads.

The short version

Information Pacer accesses

Google Ads (via the Google Ads API): campaign names, status, and scheduled end dates; daily spend, clicks, and impressions per campaign; configured campaign budgets; account time zone. Google Ads does not offer a read-only permission scope; the scope Pacer requests (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords) grants both read and write access. Pacer uses it to READ the data above. Pacer makes budget changes only when an operator has explicitly enabled budget write-back for a specific account (off by default) and has previewed and confirmed each change.

Meta (via the Meta Marketing API): campaign names, status, scheduled end times, daily and lifetime budgets; daily spend, clicks, and impressions per campaign; ad account time zone and status. Pacer requests ads_read to read this data, and ads_management only for accounts where an operator has explicitly enabled budget write-back.

Connection credentials: the OAuth refresh token (Google) or system-user token (Meta) you authorize is stored encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and is never displayed or logged.

Pacer does not access email, contacts, calendars, files, personal profiles, or any Google or Meta data unrelated to the connected advertising accounts.

How Pacer uses the data

Solely to compute budget pacing (month-to-date vs contracted budget, projected end of month, recommended daily budget), display it on an internal dashboard, and, when write-back is explicitly enabled and confirmed, apply a bounded budget change to the connected platform. No model training, no advertising profiles, no other purposes.

Google API Services Limited Use disclosure

Pacer's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Information obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide and improve the pacing features described here, is not sold, is not used for advertising, and is not transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide the service, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.

Storage and protection

Advertising data lives in a managed PostgreSQL database with per-tenant isolation enforced at the database level. Credentials are sealed with AES-256-GCM and never logged. Access requires authentication; each operator sees only the clients they are authorized to manage. Data moves over HTTPS/TLS. Hosting and database run on Railway, which processes data only to host the service.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

Synced advertising data is retained while the connected account remains active in Pacer (for history and month-over-month comparisons). Revoke Pacer's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page or Meta Business settings; revoking stops all future syncs immediately. To request deletion of stored data, contact contact@pacer.ad; we will delete the stored advertising data and credentials for that account. You can also limit write access by connecting with a read-only platform user.

Children

Pacer is a business tool, not directed at children, and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, notifying connected operators.
